SEC recommends phase 3 clinical trial for Dr Reddy’s Sputnik Light booster dose

New Delhi: The Subject Expert Committee (SEC) of India’s drug controller has recommended allowing Dr Reddy’s Laboratories to conduct phase 3 trials of Sputnik Light vaccine for covid-19 as a booster dose, people aware of the development told Mint. The ministry of external affairs (MEA) today said in view of the developing situation in war-torn Ukraine, the government is “deeply concerned" about Indian students stuck in Sumy area. Arindam Bagchi, MEA Spokesperson, said the government has strongly pressed Russian and Ukrainian governments to create a safe corridor so students could be evacuated. The PM on Wednesday spoke to Russian President Vladimir Putin and discussed the situation in the eastern Ukrainian city of Kharkiv, where many Indian students were stuck. WHO ties up with artists to spread mental, social healing amid Covid pandemic

The World Health Organisation (WHO), under its Solidarity Series of Events, has teamed up with artists and entertainers to spread health messages, share experiences, show solidarity and raise funds to combat COVID-19. One such initiative is a project named The Corona Quilt Project from India will be launched a special exhibition opening in Jaipur.  The Board, in its meeting last week, further approved 12 DTC depots for parking, operation and maintenance of 1,500 AC low floor electric buses, inclusive of the depots already earmarked for engagement of 1,015 e-buses and 230 CNG buses. The total operational cost for 1,500 buses will be placed before the Board after discovery of L-1 rate by CESL.
